alphabetical order is necessary.

It would be useful to include:

the number of items in which the tag is present in the tag list
deletion of all tags from one or more photos
adding tags to the tag list while inserting a tag in one or more photos

We added alphabetical order today. Can you give us e more details on your last two feature requests? We didn't understand them fully

You might consider a separate window/page for tag management, mine are a big mess. The ability to have a dedicated utility might help.
Also the ability to write to IPTC/IMM metadata fields in the files, this would be nice feature.nice.
In the long term you may could consider the ability to import/export keyword and/or controlled vocabulary lists from other sources. CVS or XML.
I know you have a lot of work to do already, these are just meant as suggestions for future consideration. Thanks.
